Hakuto-R Mission 1

ispace's RESILIENCE lander was the first private Japanese spacecraft to reach the Moon. On April 26, 2023, the spacecraft crashed during its final descent, likely due to a software issue in the altimeter that caused it to run out of fuel before touchdown.
